DistrictAPI

Overview

DistrictAPI is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: US public school districts and schools by address — enrollment, demographics, boundaries. Because it speaks the Model Context Protocol, AI assistants can use DistrictAPI as a set of callable tools instead of you copy-pasting between apps.

It runs locally: the Python package districtapi-mcp (via uvx) speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. Configuration happens through environment variables — you'll need DISTRICTAPI_KEY. The current release is v0.1.2, with source at DistrictAPI/districtapi-mcp on GitHub.
