Overview

Diagrams.so is an MCP server that generates and edits AWS, Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes architecture diagrams as editable draw.io files. AI assistants can call it as a set of tools, eliminating the need to switch between applications when designing cloud infrastructure.

The server runs locally via the npm package @diagrams-so/mcp, which communicates over stdio. It requires an API Key for authentication. Version v1.4.6 is available under the Apache-2.0 license, with source code at RedHold/diagrams-mcp-app-core on GitHub.
