Overview

Database Mcp Postgres is a Model Context Protocol server that connects your AI assistant to PostgreSQL databases. It operates in read-only mode by default with row limits, query timeouts, and built-in protections against logging sensitive credentials. Any MCP-compatible assistant can call its database tools directly during conversations or agent runs.

The server runs locally via the npm package @database-mcp/postgres, communicating over stdio on your machine.
