Connections

Overview

Connections is a Model Context Protocol server that brings AWS, GitHub, and connected services directly to your AI agent without needing to paste API keys. It also provides local shell and browser access. Any MCP-compatible AI assistant can call Connections's tools directly, with the model deciding when to use them during conversation or agent runs.

Connections runs locally as an npm package. Install it with npx -y connections-mcp and it speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. No credentials are required — it works out of the box. The latest release is v2.191.4.
