Git-native decision memory for coding agents: only the decisions still in force for the edited path.

Visit website ↗ View on GitHub ↗

Overview

CommitLore is an MCP server that provides git-native decision memory for coding agents. It tracks decisions that remain in force for edited paths, helping AI assistants maintain context about code decisions as they work. By exposing decision history as tools, CommitLore enables agents to reference relevant past decisions without cluttering the current context window.

The server runs locally with no authentication required and works out of the box. CommitLore v1.2.0 is published under the MIT license with source code available at MongLong0214/commitlore on GitHub.

CommitLore appears in the Development category on mcp.site and works with MCP clients including Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed, and others. If you maintain CommitLore, claim this listing to verify ownership and keep the information up to date.
