Codecanvas

Overview

Codecanvas is a Model Context Protocol server that provides Python code intelligence for coding agents. It analyzes call paths, control flow, and change impact, allowing any MCP-compatible AI assistant to directly access these tools and automatically determine when to use them during conversations or agent runs.

The server runs locally via the codecanvas-mcp package, installed with uvx codecanvas-mcp. It communicates over stdio and requires no authentication to get started. Version v0.1.17 is available under the MIT license, with source code at donggyun112/codecanvas on GitHub.
