Overview

Codebase Context Mcp is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: Codebase indexing and search via WASM tree-sitter. Works on ARM64 and x86_64. As an MCP server it plugs straight into AI assistants, exposing its functionality as tools the model can invoke on your behalf.

It runs locally: the npm package codebase-context-mcp speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. No credentials are required — it works out of the box. The current release is v1.0.1, published under the MIT license, with source at Jhackman2019/codebase-context-mcp on GitHub.
