Overview

Clipboard is a Model Context Protocol server that reads and writes your system clipboard, handling tables, text, code, JSON, URLs, images, and more. Any MCP-compatible AI assistant can call its tools directly, letting the model decide when to use clipboard access during conversations or agent runs.

It runs locally as the Python package mcp-clipboard, installed via uvx mcp-clipboard, and communicates with your AI client over stdio. No authentication is required—it works immediately after installation. The latest release is v2.6.1 under the Apache-2.0 license, with source code at cmeans/mcp-clipboard on GitHub.
