CLIO Hdf5

Overview

CLIO Hdf5 is an MCP server that brings HDF5 scientific data access directly to AI agents. It lets any MCP-compatible AI assistant work with HDF5 files and datasets, with the model choosing when and how to use these tools during conversations or agent runs.

The server runs locally via the clio-kit Python package, installed with uvx clio-kit. It communicates with your MCP client over stdio and requires no authentication or external credentials. Version v2.2.3 is available under the BSD-3-Clause license, with source code at iowarp/clio-kit on GitHub.
