CLIO Darshan

Overview

CLIO Darshan is a Model Context Protocol server that brings Darshan I/O profiling capabilities to your AI assistant. It analyzes I/O trace files, letting Claude, Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients understand and interpret storage performance data directly within conversations and agent workflows.

The server runs locally on your machine via the uvx clio-kit command, requiring no authentication or external credentials. It communicates with your MCP client over stdio using standard Python tooling. Version v2.2.3 is available now under the BSD-3-Clause license, with active development at iowarp/clio-kit on GitHub.
