Citeguard is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: Verify citations in AI text: fetches each cited source, returns verdicts with evidence quotes. As an MCP server it plugs straight into AI assistants, exposing its functionality as tools the model can invoke on your behalf.
You can run Citeguard two ways: connect to the hosted endpoint at https://citeguard.boundy.workers.dev/mcp with no local install, or run it on your own machine via the npm package citeguard. Configuration happens through environment variables — you'll need CITEGUARD_JUDGE_KEY. The current release is v0.1.2, published under the MIT license, with source at Franksterino/citeguard on GitHub.
