Citadel

Overview

Citadel is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: Encrypted-first embedded database with vector search and agent memory, exposed as MCP tools. As an MCP server it plugs straight into AI assistants, exposing its functionality as tools the model can invoke on your behalf.

It runs locally: the Python package citadeldb-mcp (via uvx) speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. Configuration happens through environment variables — you'll need CITADEL_KEY. The current release is v2.1.0, published under the Apache-2.0 license, with source at yp3y5akh0v/citadel on GitHub.
