Bun Uia

Overview

Bun Uia is a Model Context Protocol server that brings Playwright-style automation to Windows desktop applications. It lets you drive native GUIs through UI Automation, giving any MCP-compatible AI assistant the ability to interact with Windows programs directly. An AI can inspect elements, click buttons, type text, and automate workflows across the Windows desktop.

The server runs locally on your machine via the npm package bun-uia, communicating over stdio with no authentication required. Install it with npx -y bun-uia and it works immediately. The latest release is v1.9.1, maintained in the ObscuritySRL/bun-win32 repository on GitHub where it has 19 stars.
