Overview

Browser is an MCP server that loads authenticated web pages using Chrome DevTools Protocol, letting Claude and other AI assistants fetch and interact with live web content on your behalf. It exposes web scraping and page navigation as tools that models can invoke directly.

The server runs locally on your machine via the npm package mcpbrowser, communicating with MCP clients over stdio. No authentication credentials are needed—install it with npx -y mcpbrowser and it works immediately. The latest release is v0.2.1, available under the MIT license with source code at cherchyk/MCPBrowser on GitHub.
