Big Indexer

Overview

Big Indexer is a Model Context Protocol server that provides architecture-aware context with boundaries, seams, impact scope, and BGI-TWIN guidance. MCP-compatible AI assistants can call its tools directly to analyze and understand your codebase structure during conversations and agent runs.

The server runs locally as a Python package installed via uvx bigindexer, communicating over stdio with no authentication required. It's ready to use immediately. The latest release is v0.1.2 under the Apache-2.0 license, with source code available at ahmedxuhri/bigindexer on GitHub.
