Barcode Scanner

Overview

Barcode Scanner is a Model Context Protocol server that lets you scan and generate barcodes and QR codes. By speaking MCP, it integrates directly with AI assistants as callable tools, eliminating the need to manually transfer data between applications.

The server runs locally via the npm package barcode-scanner-mcp, communicating over stdio. Setup requires the MCP_TRANSPORT environment variable. Version v1.2.0 is available under the MIT license, with source code hosted at domdomegg/barcode-scanner-mcp on GitHub.
