BackendGen

Overview

BackendGen is a Model Context Protocol server that validates compact backend specifications and generates tested NestJS, Prisma, and PostgreSQL repositories. MCP-compatible AI assistants can call BackendGen's tools directly, letting the model decide when to use them during conversation or agent runs.

The server runs locally via the npm package @2hemi/backendgen-mcp, which communicates over stdio on your machine. No credentials are required—it works out of the box. Version v0.2.2 is available now under the Apache-2.0 license, with source code at SiTouhemi/Backendgen on GitHub.
