Overview

ausdata.io — Australian Public Data is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: Australian public data (ABS, RBA, ATO + 6 more) via the ausdata.io gateway. Free tier, no card. As an MCP server it plugs straight into AI assistants, exposing its functionality as tools the model can invoke on your behalf.

It runs locally: the npm package ausdata-mcp speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. Configuration happens through environment variables — you'll need AUSDATA_API_KEY. The current release is v0.4.5, published under the MIT license, with source at Bigred97/ausdata-mcp-client on GitHub.
