Altr Mcp Server

Overview

Altr Mcp Server connects your AI assistant to ALTR's data security platform through the Model Context Protocol. It gives Claude, Cursor, VS Code, and other MCP clients direct access to databases, tags, policies, classification rules, access controls, and audit logs—so you can query and manage data security without leaving your IDE.

The server runs locally via uvx altr-mcp, speaking MCP over stdio. You'll need to provide ORG_ID, MAPI_KEY, and MAPI_SECRET as environment variables to authenticate with your ALTR instance. The latest release is v0.6.0, and the source code is available at altrsoftware/altr-mcp-server on GitHub.
