Akb

Overview

Akb is a Model Context Protocol server that provides git-backed organizational memory for AI agents. It combines hybrid search, tables, files, and a URI graph to help any MCP-compatible AI assistant access and reason over stored knowledge. When integrated, the model can call Akb's tools directly during conversations and agent runs to retrieve and work with organizational data.

The server runs locally via the npm package akb-mcp, which communicates over stdio. You'll need to configure two environment variables: AKB_MCP_URL and AKB_PAT for API authentication. Install it with npx -y akb-mcp. The current release is v2.0.4, maintained at dnotitia/akb on GitHub where the project has 156 stars.
