Aiven MCP

Overview

Aiven MCP is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: Provision PostgreSQL, manage Apache Kafka, and deploy apps with Aiven - all from your AI assistant. Because it speaks the Model Context Protocol, AI assistants can use Aiven MCP as a set of callable tools instead of you copy-pasting between apps.

You can run Aiven MCP two ways: connect to the hosted endpoint at https://mcp.aiven.live/mcp?read_only={read_only}&services_scope={services_scope}&allow_secrets={allow_secrets} with no local install, or run it on your own machine via the npm package mcp-aiven. Configuration happens through environment variables — you'll need AIVEN_TOKEN. The current release is v1.15.3, published under the Apache-2.0 license, with source at aiven-open/mcp-aiven on GitHub, where it has earned 26 stars.
