About Finance MCP servers
Finance servers range from read-only data feeds, such as stock quotes, market news, on-chain analytics and economic indicators, to servers that move money: Stripe and other payment platforms, invoicing and accounting tools like QuickBooks and Xero, and wallet or exchange integrations. Agents use them for research, reporting, reconciliation and, with care, transactions.
Separate analysis from action. Keep data servers broad and transaction servers narrow, with sandbox or test-mode keys until you trust the agent's behaviour, and require explicit confirmation before anything irreversible. Official vendor servers are the safest choice for payments; for market data, check licensing and rate limits before building on a free tier.
